Dr. George A. Damoff

Chief Science Officer


George holds three degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University—a B.S. in biology, a M.S. in aquatic ecology, and a Ph.D. in forest ecology with an emphasis on soils and earthworm populations. Since earning his last degree he has maintained institutional affiliation with SFASU as an adjunct research faculty member in the Department of Environmental Science. For over 20 years he taught biology, ecology, and environmental science courses at several public and private colleges and universities. He has published numerous research papers, in both discovery and applied earthworm ecology, and has given presentations for civic, professional societies, and academic conferences on topics related to soils, compost, and earthworm ecology. In addition to his collaboration with Perca, he has numerous field and literature review projects underway with various people throughout the USA. George has been married to Jeanne for 45 years and they share 3 adult children and six grandchildren.
